Does Traction Device Work For Peyronie's Patients In Their Chronic Stage?
Peyronie's Question
Hi
I am in the Chronic stage of peyronies and was after an effective treatment to straighten my penis. I heard that a traction device or vacuum device has shown some positive results but only in the acute stages. Is it a waste of time for me then to try these two devices or do you have any suggestions please.
I have found that since having peyronies I have suffered a severe lack of confidence which has led to premature ejaculation. Have you in your experience found this to be the case in other men?
Many thanks,
MT
My Peyronie's Answer
Dear MT
Traction devices are better than vacuum devices for reducing penile curvature. Best results have been reported for men in the acute phase but many men have also reported results during the chronic phase. Penis traction device will always lengthen the penis, so you will under all circumstances gain length and girth and it may reduce the curvature as well.
Dr. Levine, one of the best-known Peyronie's specialists in the world today, has treated over 900 men with traction devices and he says evidence now show that traction device is the most efficient non-surgical Peyronie's treatment.
The best curvature correction he has witnessed was in a man with 70 degrees calcified plaque that in 6 months managed to get the penis straight. I would have found that hard to believe if coming from anyone else than Dr. Levine.
He talks about average gaining an inch in penile length and 20 degrees curvature reduction in men that follow the protocol and use the device for minimum of 3 hours per day.

Lack of sexual confidence is very common in men with Peyronie's disease and many Peyronie's patients suffer from erectile dysfunction. But how common premature ejaculation is among men with Peyronie's disease I do not know. You should ask your doctor about that but this article explains the most common Premature Ejaculation Treatments .
For your convenience, I'm attaching links to articles on my website that are about traction devices.
Men with Peyronie's have used both vacuum pumps and tractions to treat Peyronie's disease. This Article explains which is better option in which cases. But basically pumps are better for erection quality and traction for correcting penile curvature and lengthening the penis.
This article explains how Traction Works For Men With Peyronie's.
This Article explains the difference between traditional traction devices and those that allow you to control the direction of the traction.
This is my Personal Story but I used traction device to successfully treat my Peyronie's disease.
This is a story from one of My Peyronie's Reader that used traction to help him improve his curvature and gain back lost length. It's very inspiring but he says " When I had a 90% bend, and had lost 2 inches, having sex was very difficult, now that I have an inch and a half back and the curve is down to about 45 degrees, sex is fine, but I am going to continue to see if I can't get back more than I started with and get it almost straight. This takes a serious commitment!!"
These are my reviews of the two traction devices that offer directional traction, i.e. Andropeyronie and The Peyronies Device.
This is my review of Phallosan, which is also an interesting option for men with Peyronie's as it is the only device that men can safely use while sleeping (which can be helpful for those that struggle wearing traction device during working hours).
These articles should give you good overview of the subject.
There is no question that traction does lengthen the penis if used for prolonged period of time. That's just how traction works (think of long neck Kayan women in Burma). It however does require commitment, you need to wear the device for up to 8 hours per day for few months for best results.
You can realistically expect between 0.5 – 1 cm in penile length per month of use. So to increase your penile length by 1 - 2 inches (2.5 – 5 cm) you are likely to have to use the penis traction device for 6 - 10 hours daily for 3 - 6 months.
And it can help some men with reducing their penile curvature (though no guarantees there as can depend on the individual condition… that's why it is important to see a doctor and discuss your options).
I hope this is some help but feel free to contact me anytime if you think I can be of any further assistance. I hope you keep me posted about your progress and wish you best of luck.
Best regards,
Birgir
