How Can I Improve My Erection Quality?
Peyronie's Question
I have about a 30 degree curvature and a weak erection. I'm not comfortable about using a pump just before sex. I would like to use some device for an extended period of time daily with the hope that the curvature will get better and my erection will be harder without the use of the device at some point.
Is this possible? If so, what device do you recommend and specifically how would I use it. I will purchase it through your website. Least I could for your help with this.
Thank you
JC
My Peyronie's Answer
Thank you for your e-mail and kind words, I appreciate them. I want to start by emphasizing that I'm not a medical doctor (as stated on my website). I can therefore not advise you on medical issues, you will have to see your doctor for that. I can only advice you generally, as a "friend" and fellow sufferer. I link to articles on my website as think may be helpful for additional information.
It is very important to address the erection quality as having intercourse without firm enough erection can aggravate the condition or cause new onset of PD for men that have already reached the stable phase.
There are number of erectile treatments available today and some combination of treatments could help you. Using penis pump on regular basis will help you to build up better erections over time, i.e. kind of penis gym!
Then you may look if doing some lifestyle changes cold help to improve the situation and also addressing any potential underlying health conditions could help, e.g. have your blood pressure checked. Various studies have also shown that pelvic floor exercises can be effective for men suffering from erectile dysfunction. Then there are hormone therapies, oral medications, natural and complimentary therapies, etc.
Research all the treatment options mentioned and see if you can come up with a plan to improve your erection quality over time. You may also want to discuss this plan with your doctor.
Then you may want to try to address the curvature as well (some men choose to learn to live with 30 degree curvature but other seek treatment). You don’t say if you are in the acute or stable phase, it can affect which treatment options are available to you.
With mild curvature like this, traction therapy might be worth trying. It’s non-invasive and economical treatment option but it does require commitment, but most men agree their special friend is worth the effort.
I hope this is of some help and I wish you all the best with your treatment.
Kind regards,
Birgir
